Although Jazz could never be considered my genre of expertise, it is undeniably the easiest genre to transfer style and feeling onto canvas. With Louis’ animated facial expressions and seemingly impossible cheek inflation, he was an easy choice to make once I decided to delve into the Jazz world. While researching this piece, the complexity of the brass instruments paired with the cool attire and over the top style of the genre shot Jazz legends to the top of my “to do” list.
