Back in the Saddle
Painting Steven can be a little bit of heaven and hell. While his affliction for colourful scarves, wild attire and over the top style keep it interesting and fun, his over-exaggerated facial features make it very difficult to portray realism. Keeping my work from looking to “cartoony” is always a challenge, especially with subjects as magnanimous as Steven Tyler; however, Aerosmith in general is what pops into my mind when you try to put a face to the genre, and embodies everything I love about Rock and Roll.
