APPROACHING STORM, KENYA, 2011
Beverly Joubert
“It is hard to get animal behavior, or get animals to interact with other species. It’s even harder to capture these moments in a beautiful setting with beautiful light. A storm was approaching; the sky was incredibly black, when these elephants silently came along. At that moment, a ray of light shone on them, turning them into golden creatures. As I took this image I thought how precious these animals were.”
