Lips are Sealed
Mick has always been one of my favourite subjects for various reasons. Of all the different phases of the illustrious career of the Stones, I continually find myself drawn to the “Exile” era of the 70s. It was during this era that all the personalities of the band started to shine through. The title Lips Are Sealed was derived from a lyric found in the song Plundered My Soul from the heralded album Exiled on Mainstream – believed by many to be the bands finest offering. My objective was to capture Mick’s glamour and combine it with the grittiness of this era, where the band found them selves exiled to the South of France to record due to legal troubles back in England.
