Ate My Heart
Admittedly, this painting of Gaga stemmed from her popularity and I was not as informed of her music and career as I usually am with my subjects. After deciding to step outside of my comfort zone and take on a contemporary pop sensation, I decided research into Gaga’s career was essential – it was here that I became pleasantly surprised. Although the music was quite different from my regular subjects, Gaga’s affliction for outrageous patent leather outfits, studs and chains fell right into my area of expertise.
