Trusted.com works directly with manufacturers to ensure product authentication at the time the item is produced. Each item is serialized and then tracked through the use of a trusted.com exclusive eTitle from the manufacturer through to the Retailer.

When an individual purchases the item, the retailer provides proof of authentication and the eTitle is transferred to the individual. The eTitle status is then locked, ensuring duplicate counterfeit items cannot be produced and passed off as genuine.

Once the individual has registered on trusted.com and accepted the eTitle, the item owner can view and manage the eTitle. This results in an increase in product retention value for the individual.

Trusted.com allows users to post valid items for sale on popular eCommerce sites, such as eBay. Following the successful sale of the item, ownership of the item will be transferred from the current registered trusted.com owner to the new owner of the item. Since potential buyers can validate item authenticity on trusted.com, the seller sees an increase in value and potential sales price.
